| I ordered this because my older Karcher died. Had that one long enough (and worked it quite a bit) to feel confident with buying Karcher again. I used this twice so far to clean my deck, so these comments have limited value. I did notice that initially installing the hose was tough (based on other reviews), so I sprayed the coupling with some silicon and eliminated that problem. It would be nice to have a better way to store the high-pressure hose and attachments, but as long as it works well, I consider that to be a very minor problem. |

| Bought this for my husband. We previously owned a smaller version of this unit. Never had a problem, so replaced with this model. Works great. Cleans the outside of our house (all vinyl siding and brick.) Cleans the porch (wood). Cleans the concrete flooring in the garage and the patio. Originally owned a gas powered washer. It was always in the shop. Have no complaints about the Karcher. Highly recommend this unit! |

I had a smaller Karcher pressure washer that I inherited from my father about 7 years ago. It was a handheld unit that ran at about 1300 PSI. I used it heavily for years, washing the entire house twice a year. I never gave it a rest or took good care of it. The unit was fantastic and finally broke after a 12' fall off of the roof onto the driveway. (don't ask)
When I decided to get a new unit I went out and purchased a 3.48 from Karcher. After I purchased it, I read a lot of negative reviews on Amazon and another site. I used the unit anyway and have been using it for several weeks. I have had no issues whatsoever with the pressure washer. It works very well and has no major design flaws.
Assembling the unit is simple and I did not even nead the diagram (let alone the detailed instruction book that came with the unit). The hose was simple to attach- It has an O-ring so push it gently into the base of the pressure washer before trying to thread the hose onto the unit.
There is a rack on the back for attachments. You need to push the hose in the soap-feeder to the bottom of the soap tank and turn the tip on the pressure wand to disperse the soap. Read the manual or experimant it is not very difficult. This is a nice feature, it slows down the flow of water to spread the soap and then the soap shuts off when you use the pressure washer.
Advice: Buy an inexpensive strain-releif hose (a few dollars- a piece of hose about 8" long with a spring wrapped around it. Don't pull on the unit with the wand, stop and move the unit when you run out of hose. Remove the hose and the wand / wand hose when you are done and store them.
Great unit and an excellent value. Take care of it and, don't take it up onto the roof- buy the 50' optional hose for the wand. If you have trouble with this unit you should pay someone to powerwash for you and go back to watching TV..... |
Works well; no cord holders

I received this product about two weeks ago. I had a little trouble connecting the pressure hose, but once my husband helped it all worked. It did a good job removing moss from my flagstone deck and is easy to use.
However, there is both a pressure cord and a power cord and there are no hooks to wrap the cords on. I think that is why they do not show any cords in the picture.
I bought this one because it has an induction motor. Several of the other 1800 psi electric pressure washers do not have induction motors and in reading customer reviews, several people had trouble with the motors burning out on other models.
I only used the Karcher for 20-30 minutes at a time so I do not know if it can run for a couple of hours. I had no problems at all. I would recommend this for purchase. |
Suprised how good this works

| My pavers outside were moss ridden and weeds were growing all over the place. I treated the patio with weed killer and it helped for a few weeks. Finally I decided to look into Power washers. I researched and found the Karcher to have very mixed reviews from Great to Don't buy this product. Everywhere I researched the name Karcher came up. I got one at a great price and was anxious to try it. The set up was simple when I started my jaw dropped it was so easy and effective. The moss and weeds flew out and the pavers were becoming clean like brand new. The only drawbacks are the width of spray decreases as you get closer however spray power increaes significantly so it can take a while to clean a medium sized area. My patio is 20 by 12 and it took about 2 hours but it looked great, another drawback it is a mess no fault of Karcher but be prepared to get Mud all over yourself and on your house but it cleans siding also. A few weeks later I decided to clean my front sidewalk and wash my car with detergent feature. The sidewalk came out great but again very small spray width to clean took a couple of hours for small sidewalk, then again sidewalk is 8 years old but looks like new. When I tried to pump detergent into unit it did not work. After reading the manual a dozen times it offered no help. I finally got a ilittle detergent into it, but have to say that part of machine is defective (No big deal). Cleaned the car with power washer only and it came out alright. Packing up this unit is a hassle there is no cord storage or hose storage so you have to wind and wrap cords, I still use the box it came in for storage as it comes with a ton of extras like a double power wand, brush attachement for cleaning with detergent (LOL) sponges, free detergent samples (you gotta buy from them) and a NET Bag which I have no idea what it for. Manual has no mention of it. All in all I recommend this product so far. Only used it twice will see if it works in a year? Some reviews say no way but I feel I already got my moneys worth instead of hiring someone to do it, |
