I wanted an electric pressure washer for washing my car. I searched around quite a bit and despite mostly negative reviews on Karcher pressure washers, I purchased this unit anyways, straight from Amazon.com. Too many professional auto detailers use a Karcher pressure washer so I figured it would be hard to go wrong by going the same route.

I purchased the unit in the middle of June 2009, approximately 6 months ago and I am one happy camper. I've been using it once or twice a week since I purchased it to wash cars. The pressure from the Variable Pressure Nozzle at full strength is just right. Sometimes for dirty wheels, I will swap it out and use the Rotating Nozzle. I like how easy it is to switch between nozzles, and the wand is very comfortable to hold.

As for the connections, I hooked up one of those Quick Connect adapters to the unit as well as to the end of my water hose to make connecting and disconnecting much easier. The length of the power cord is appreciated, and the included 25 feet of hose for the wand is just the right length for convenient car washing, while not being over-bearing. Being tied down to two cords (as with any electric pressure washer) makes it difficult to roll the unit around for "portable" cleaning. I always just setup the washer in front of the vehicle, hook everything up and power on, and leave the unit in one place throughout the wash. It is no problem to relocate the unit a few feet in any direction, but any more than that and it starts to become impractical.

I do have a few gripes with the unit: first, the handle design is strange. I'm only 5'7" and to roll this unit around by the top of the handle still requires me to bend down a bit which is not very comfortable. Fortunately, the unit is light enough so that most of the time I just pick it up and gently place it where I want it. Also, there is nowhere to wrap the cords when I put the unit away. I usually just wrap the electric cord around the base of the handle and I purchased Cable Cuffs to wrap the hose in a large circle and secure it, but I feel the unit could have on-board storage.

Finally, I really hope this Karcher pressure washer lasts me a long time. I try very hard to be gentle with the unit, to set it up and disassemble it exactly as the instructions indicate, to keep water AWAY from the unit, and to store the unit indoors in my garage. I will update my review if anything changes, but so far it has truly been a great experience.
So far so good, I love this unit.

So far so good, unit is about 11 months old and has been in use for about 5-6 hours. Everything works as it should. The patented rotating DirtBlaster wand is just fantastic. My concrete patio looks like it was just freshly poured. My neighbor just got a 2500PSi gas powered TroyBuild power washer and this unit does an outstanding job in comparison. I understand you have to be careful with the hose connections, I follow startup/shutdown instructions carefully to be easy on the pump. I hope my experience with the unit remains positive.

I gave this Karcher four star instead of five because I actually purchased the model K 3.68 from a local Lowes for less money and it provides eighteen hundred pounds of pressure. That extra fifty for less money is a no brainer. It deep cleaned all the concrete around the house including a very filthy driveway. The Karcher replaces a failed Campbell Hausfeld that no replacement parts are available for. The Karcher out performs anything in it's price range. Look for the Karcher #K3.68M at Lowes.
Good for the money, although

Have had the unit about 8 months and use it very often. Have had no problem with the washer except the femal hose connector is cheap plastic and stripped out right-away. Disassemble the unit and had to fabricate my own hose connector...then no more problems with this matter till the groundfault connector burned up. Cut it off and installed a straight plug...so far, all is well since then. Good roduct for teh money but totally impossible to order parts or converse with their Customer Service people....

Reviewer: Charlie Griffin,
This is my second Karcher pressure washer. The first one was bought at Costco about 15 years ago. It was a 1500psi. I was quite pleased with it because it cleaned my deck, my neighbors' decks and my mother's vinyl siding around the entire house, plus the gutters. It probably would have lasted longer, but I lent it to a neighbor who kept it outside for months after using it. Of course, by the time I wanted to use it again it was busted. That's the end of letting my neighbor use my stuff!

I purchased my K 3.67 from Walmart on Monday. I paid $160. Although the unit was packaged like new, when I opened the box, the unit itself looked like it might have been "reconditioned" becuase there were a few dings and dust on the yellow housing, but I went ahead and put it together. It came with the two wands and a brush attachment. I used it yesterday to clean my 20' x 12' deck and part of my house's aluminum siding. It worked great. It is relatively quiet and easy to use. The only drawback is the hose placements on the unit. Because the hoses hook up close to each other, it is quite easy for them to get tangled together. I hate that! Plus there is no where to store the hose and elctrical cord on the unit. My old one had a reel that at least held the hose and wand, but this one stores only the wands. The pressure was adequate for my needs I guess, but it you need more power for extra large areas or very, very heavily soiled decks, I would suggest a more powerful unit. It took me at least 6 hours to do my deck, but that included moving stuff around, etc. Plus, my deck had not been cleaned in at least 8 years, so I was extra diligent in taking my time and doing a respectable job. I'm an old broad, so speed is not one of my strong points...
