Here's the dilemma. I have worked in Texas in a few months … so what I had decided to do to be versitile enough to use on the windows in the house in Texas. So, I did not want to get something in such a way that I do not, the material could allow re-use.
I did not spend too much time on this project. Finally, I'm just going to be in the house for a few moreMonths.
I came up with was simple, but beautiful drapes that were super easy to make. And I'll show you how!
I have a total of 8 plates … 2 per window. I averaged 2 Panels per night. So you can easily dress up a window in one day.
The rods cost me $ 25 each … in the amount of $ 100.
The substance for sale cost me about $ 300.
I could give my room softness, drama, color and a designers touch for less than $ 500. This would cost in the vicinity of $ 4000 if I had ato create professional design and this for me.
So, here's how to do it.
1. Install curtain rods. Install the first and hang the rings you want to use.
2. Measured from the bottom of the curtain ring to the floor. Subtract 1 / 4 ". This is your finished length.
3. To enjoy the full width of fabric for the width of the panel.
4. Cut the fabric and lining:
Cut fabric width = full width of the fabric (Cut the selfage when the tissue was notsmooth and flat)
Cut fabric length = finished length + 10 "(bottom hem) + 14" (position)
Cut lining width = fabric width – 3 "
Cut forage length = finished length + 4 "(bottom hem) + 2"
5. Sew the bottom hem
Fold the bottom edge of the tissue to 5 "and press …. another 5 fold and press. Pin. Sew with a blind hem stitch. You can also sew the hem in place with a straight stitch.
Fold the bottom edge of the lining to 2 "and press … fold up another 2" and. press Pin. Sew with a blind hem stitch. You can also sew the hem in place with a straight stitch.
6. Sew the lining and fabric together
Lay the fabric right side up
Place the lining right side down so that the bottom edge of 1 "above the bottom edge of the fabric.
Create a side edge … Pin and sew together with a 1 / 2 "seam. Repeat on the other side.
Turn the cloth right side. Fold your fabric over to the lining side about 1 1 / 2 ". Gently push the drapeso that the fabric on both sides of the feed. Pin in places, the layers keep slipping.
7. Place the cloth lining to the top
8. Fold in the raw side edges of the fabric and pin. Stitch in place with a straight stitch.
9. Tuck the side edges of the tissue at the lower corners of the bottom hem … Stitch and the bottom corners into force.
10. Place the cloth lining side again
11. Measured from the bottom up to the finished length and mark with a fewPins
12. Fold the top edge down to the food side, so that the upper edge is about 1 "past the pins you just placed. Pin the top edge in place.
13. Stitch the top edge of the curtain pinned along the measurement in step 11
